Here's a picture of "Turtle Turtle". She's a Yellow Belly Cooter.
She was sent to the Sanctuary from Oklahoma.

Below is a picture of Frankenturtle.
He was hit by a car and brought to Texas A & M Zoo Ward for treatment.
After "fixin" him up they sent him to the Sanctuary for continuing care.

Pictured below is Hardware.
He was also hit by a car and brought to Texas A & M Zoo Ward for treatment.
He too was sent to the Sanctuary for continuing care.

In 2008 the first aquatic turtle habitat was constructed.
All the turtles at the Sanctuary that were well enough were moved to the new Aquatic Turtle Habitat.

Summer of 2009 saw the construction of a much larger aquatic pond along side of the first pond.

Fall of 2010 saw the construction of Dippy's Corner.

Spring of 2013 saw the begining of construction on a new building for the snappers.
